Sonic X Sekiro

buy me a coffeeThis is a Sonic conversion mod for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.



It features:



- New Main Menu

- Reskinned Player Model, including alternate costumes

- New weapon with accurate hitbox

- Model swaps for every boss and mini-boss

- Model swaps for almost every enemy (except things like sentries, crickets, gamefowl and geckos)

- Model swaps for most NPCs

- Custom icons for every boss (Used for 'Reflection of Strength' and boss memories)

- New Music

- New Sound Effects

- New Load Screens

- New Credits

- Changes to some items and their descriptions

- Altered Dialogue Subtitles

- Voiced Cutscenes



NOTE: All character models were modified to fit the original model as close as possible. The hitbox and collision data for all of the enemies and playable character models are unchanged.



There are only 2 models that have modified hitboxes. Those were the sword, and Centipede Giraffe mini boss. The sword was extended in length to match the new model but it's width remains untouched. The centipede giraffe was shortened a little to accurately fit the arms and hands of the model.



This mod does not effect any AI behavior.



Sonic's size unfortunately can't be adjusted as it is fitted to Wolf's skeleton and hitboxes. There is a FOV mod in the "Optional Mods" section that can help with visibility issues that may occur.



There is also an optional file that contains transparent models for Sonic and his alternate costumes. This helps with visibility, but you will appear more 'ghost-like'.



Installation instructions



The Sekiro directory is usually located at C:\Program Files x86\steam\steamapps\common\Sekiro

or you can just right click the game in your steam library then click "Manage" > "Browse local files" and the directory should open.



The mod download comes with 2 folders. One named 'mods' and the other named 'movie'.

Before attempting to install these, please make sure you have downloaded and installed the 

following mods.



1. Sekiro Mod Engine

This will be set up properly once you've moved the .dll and the .ini files into your Sekiro directory, and created a folder named "mods".

The following mods go into the "mods" folder you just created.





2. Glow and Translucent Materials

This mod will prevent DLC items like costumes, gauntlet boss memories, and the Sakura Dance from unlocking.

IT MAY ALSO PREVENT THE CREDITS MUSIC FROM PLAYING

I recommend removing the 'event' file in your 'mods' folder then relaunching the game when you are on the final boss to avoid these bugs from happening.

Doing so after the boss is defeated should still grant you the costumes and gauntlets.





- Your Sekiro directory should now have a 'mods' folder with two subsequent folders inside.

'event' and 'mtd'. You are now ready to install the mod.



- Copy the contents of the 'mods' folder found in the 'Sonic X Sekiro'

download, and paste them into the 'mods' folder in your Sekiro directory.



- Next, make a backup of the 'movie' folder found in the Sekiro directory, and put it somewhere safe. 

(You will be replacing the files in this folder.) 

Once the backup has been made go back to the Sekiro X Sonic download and open the 'movie' folder.

Inside you will find files named 'openingmovie' and 'stafflistmovie'. Move these file into the 'movie' folder in

the Sekiro directory. Replacing the existing file. (This is why you needed to make a backup of the original movie files)



- The mod is now fully installed



- In the game, set the language to Japanese with English subtitles. This is the only way you will be able to hear

the voiced characters and have accurate subtitles.



- You may run into an 'Unhandled Exception' error your first time loading the game. Simply relaunching the game

should fix it.





== Optional Mods ==



Sekiro FPS Unlock and More



- Due to the nature of Sonic the Hedgehog's model, his wombo sized head may make it difficult to see during some fights. This mod

allows you to increase the FOV to make it a little easier to see. Increasing it too much may cause some LOD issues. I usually set the FOV anywhere

between 35 and 45.  You can also increase the speed of the game or the player to really have an authentic Sonic feel, however I still recommend

the normal play speed.
