SoulsMods exists to make your life easier. We were sick and tired of downloading large mods at a measly 1.5MB/s from other sites, sick of seeing some of the best content removed with no explanation, and sick of being bombarded with ads and popups just to get to the download link.

So we built SoulsMods.

No download caps. No ads. No bullshit: just mods. Modders, you need a place to share your work. Gamers, you deserve a place to easily find and download that work without a hassle. Ditch those other sites and join SoulsMods today.

Our Manifesto

Mods Should be Free

We are lucky to live in a reality where the developers of these games and owners of their intellectual property broadly allow modding to take place. Mods enhance the experience of these games, extend their lifespan, and create communities of passionate players and creators. As such, we believe that mods should be freely accessible to all players. No mod should require a payment, subscription, donation, or any other form of compensation to download or use. In fact, this often goes against the terms of use that the developer of the game has set forth.

Mods Should be Accessible

You should not be restricted from downloading a mod based on arbitrary limitations such as download caps, speed caps, geographic location, account requirements, or any other barriers. Mods are created to be shared and enjoyed by the community, and any restrictions on access only serve to hinder that goal. We believe that mods should be easily and freely accessible to all players, regardless of their circumstances. You will never find a paywall or required subscription on SoulsMods.

Moderation is not Necessary

A mod repository site should not be opinionated in what it allows to be shared. We believe that the onus is on the user, the player, to decide what content they wish to download and use. As such, we do not moderate the content that is shared on our platform beyond basic checks for legality and safety. We trust our users to make informed decisions about the mods they choose to download and use. You will never have a mod removed from this site without a valid legal or safety reason (for example, if your files contain malware).

Creators Deserve Recognition

SoulsMods is not concerned with subscriptions, donations, or any other form of monetary compensation. As such we will never make any decision that would undermine the ability of creators to receive recognition and support from their community. We encourage all users to support mod creators directly through their preferred channels, whether that be Patreon, Ko-fi, or any other platform. We believe that creators deserve to be recognized and supported for their hard work, and we will always prioritize their ability to do so.
