The goal of Risk Of Nightreign is to improve the roguelike aspects of as well as the general flow of runs in Nightreign.
Note: This mod is early in development & updated quite frequently. Expect bugs. Check back for newer versions with more content and less old and more new bugs!
When updating, please delete all files of the previous version of RoNR.
This mod requires Mod Engine 3.
To access Everdark Sovereigns, Deep of Night & Multiplayer use
Nightreign SeamlessCoop Recommended Installation is via
Mod Engine 3 Manager , you must turn on "Load Early" for NRSC in advanced settings, otherwise it will crash on launch.
A (currently very rudimentary) Wiki as well as nightly patches can be found on the
GitHub.
Features:
- Reworked Loot Pools
All enemies now have a chance to drop Items - no longer are bosses the only thing worth killing.
Each Nightfarer* now always draws weapon drops from a customized loot pool
- New Passives
A large amount of passive items has been added to the loot pool, coming in 3 rarities
- Common (white)
- Rare (purple)
- Legendary (red)
Collect and stack them up to power up and create a variety of builds!
- Weapon Rework
All weapon pickups are blue to differentiate them from Passive Items.
All weapons have their base damage equalized among their weapon category, but each weapon still retains it's unique stat scaling.
Instead of rolling Ashes of War randomly, each individual weapon now comes with a set sword-art and elemental infusion, as well as a unique non-stacking attached effect.
Since all weapons now share the same Tier, the only way to upgrade a weapon is through the legendary forge in The Crater.
Scarabs have a high chance of dropping weapons.
- Nightfarer Adjustments
Level Up Stat gain has been drastically reduced - passive items are no longer just a useful bonus, they are a requirement to grow in power.
Nightfarers also passively regenerate HP at a slow rate.
- Enemy Adjustments
Final Boss hp scaling has been increased to keep up with the increased power from passive item stacking.
- Shop reworks
- Consumable Reworks
If you have feedback regarding balance, or bugs to report, please do so on this page! I am not able to playtest every feature myself beyond making sure things work as intended.
Currently I am working on this mod quite frequently so check back for updates regularly :)
