Introducing the New Version of Sekiro Deflection for Elden Ring 1.16.
Introduces enhanced combat dynamics that bring the Sekiro combat style to Elden Ring, offering a fresh perspective and more immersive gameplay.
This mod was made to be played with the STEAM version and is not intended to support pirated or previous versions other than those mentioned.
Sekiro-Inspired Deflection Mechanics: This version includes deflection mechanics adapted from Sekiro specifically for two-handed combat styles.
Deflection Customization: You can now customize the deflection window, allowing you more control over the timing and effectiveness of your deflections.
Deflection Cancellation Fix: A persistent issue from the previous version—where deflections could not be canceled—has been fixed, ensuring that your deflections work as intended, without unintended interruptions.
Detailed Deflection Animations: Notice how the game now includes detailed deflection animations that respond to the direction and intensity of incoming enemy attacks, adding visual depth to each successful deflection.
Shield Can Deflect: Shields can deflect attacks and have their own animations.
Deflection during guard block: If you fail the first deflection, you can deflect the next attack during the blocking animation.
Customization Options: This version offers new customizable options, allowing you to customize the damage dealt to your posture and the timing of the deflection window.
Code and performance optimization: Significant performance improvements have been made in this release, including code restructuring to ensure better compatibility with modules and reduce function overlap.
Malenia Lifesteal: During the deflected state, disables Malenia's lifesteal.
Posture System: You take posture damage when deflecting, blocking or receiving attacks and the same goes for Human NPCs.
For this version, you can extract the file and run "lauchmodeldenring.bat". It's "Plug-Play" so to speak.
For lower versions (if you somehow have them)
Getting Started
- First, obtain ModEngine2 from a reliable source. Typically, you can find the download on GitHub.
- After downloading the file, extract it to a folder of your choice.
You should see something like this:
ModEngine2 Folder:
└── mod
└── modengine2
└── launchmod_eldenring.bat
└── modengine2_launcher.exe
└── config_eldenring.toml
└── ETC...
Second Step
- Place the mod files you want to install into the appropriate folder. The structure should look something like this:
ModEngine2 Folder:
└── Drag files here
└── mod
└── modengine2
└── launchmod_eldenring.bat
└── modengine2_launcher.exe
└── config_eldenring.toml
└── ETC...
Drag and drop the mod files into the `mod` folder within the ModEngine2 folder. They should be placed directly there, without needing additional subfolders.
EXAMPLE:
ModEngine2 Folder:
└── dll
└── mod
└── action
└── chr
└── sd
└── sfx
└── regulation.bin
Installing the Module
- First, locate your game's directory. A typical path is:
C:\Steam\steamapps\common\EldenRing\Game
- Drag the "_Deflection" folder into the Elden Ring directory.
- Open the "Options" file and configure the custom options to your liking.
